At a Chapter Court holden in KK Michael 2nd November 1815 Ballaugh Ann Corlett otherwise Mylrea having departed this life some time in or about the month of September last intestate and this Court having received intelligence thereof hath decreed her two children John and Jane both under age co-administrators of all and singular her goods, rights, credits, chattels and effects moveable and immoveable whatever and their father John Corlett is sworn in trust for them to administer the said estate, to exhibit inventory and to pay all just debts so far forth as goods will extend

And the law bind him and he is also sworn a guardian and supervisor of the said minors and John Caley their uncle on the mother’s side is likewise sworn their guardian – and to all the aforesaid and he the said Corlett hath given pledges in form of law namely Daniel Stephen & Daniel C……. of Ballaugh

The goods and effects of …. Ann Corlett als Mylrea wife of John Corlett shoemaker of Ballaugh being appraised on the twenty first day of ….. 1815 by John Craine and William Cowley of Ballaugh who departed this life on or about the 30th of August. The full amount thereof comes to £98/2/10 of the said sum to be deducted certain debts due at the foresaid Ann Corlett’s decease as follows: The debts due by the foresaid John Corlett and his wife when added and sum together amounts to seventy five pounds British when taken from the sum of ninety eight pounds two shillings and ten pence British leaves the balance of twenty three pounds two shillings and ten pence the one half thereof of the said sum £28/5/10 for the benefit of their children namely John Corlett and Jane Corlett both under the age of fourteen years which leaves the balance of the …. …… each Returned this 12th January at a Chapter Court ….
